My name is Rachel and I am working with Cia and Megan on the Summer Learning Journey progarmme this year. It is so cool to see that you are participating and that you've already completed a number of activities. Way to go!
I learned a few new things about New Zealand (NZ) from reading your post. I did not realise that we have two national anthems here in NZ. I always thought that we only had one! I must admit that I do not often hear 'God Save the Queen' played at major events but I used to live in England so know the anthem quite well. When I was living in England I was teaching at a school on the east coast of the country. It was a really nice school and my classroom faced out towards the ocean. It was really pretty and really peaceful. Sometimes I would walk home from school along the beach as I lived about 2 kilometres away from the school. Do you walk to your school?
I hope that you will continue with the Summer Learning Journey programme throughout the holidays. I'm really looking forward to learning more from you as we make our way through all 60 activities. It is going to be a great summer!
